Nicholas and Krista moved to San Luis Obispo in 2019 with a vision to relaunch High Street Church (formerly Crossroads Church). Since 2006, they have served in various church roles, including youth, children, small groups, and first impressions. They were married in 2007, united by their shared passion for ministry and their love for laughter and adventure.
Nicholas has always had a deep desire for growth and understanding to better serve God’s people and His kingdom. His journey includes discipleship programs, ministry schools, and academic studies. He is an accredited Spiritual Director through Sustainable Faith and holds a Master’s degree from New Hope University.
Krista is also an ordained pastor. In addition to her role pastoring High Street Church, she serves as a bilingual paraeducator at a local school, reaching and supporting the community in meaningful ways.
Both Nicholas and Krista were raised in the church, but through their experiences, they have seen how, at times, the church has misrepresented the true heart of Jesus. Their mission is to create a community that reflects God’s heart—one of love, grace, and open arms—where all are welcomed and embraced.

Yes we believe that women can be pastors. The Bible is clear – men and women are created equal, both gifted to lead and empowered by the Holy Spirit to do so well (Joel 2, Acts 2, 1 Cor 11, Gal 3). We want every woman young and old to known there is no limit to what God can call you to do.
